Brookside Motors

Brookside motors is a busy and well regarded local garage in the studenty area of Fallowfield, Manchester. I was glad to be able to help Paul Donelon, the owner, refresh Brookside Motors website and cut costs during the process.

The website was based on Wix and had no mobile responsiveness. It was also complex to manage with a monthly subscription which had no obvious return for value. There was also no audit trail for works done and long contracts locked Brookside Motors into the use of services which may not have suited their business.

Below is the newly designed site I implemented -

This site runs for free using github providing an audit trail for code changes and allowing the company full control over any changes. The site is deployed statically using 11ty and hosted using cloudflare pages, with additional services being used for features such as the contact form.

Security measures were setup to ensure that any input from the contact form was sanitised to prevent any cyber security attacks against the business and validation implemented to ensure that customer queries were consistent and included all required information to respond appropriately. This includes the newly implemented "Car Reg" field which was complicated to implement on the previous wix site.
